About Your Job:

  • Al Maha Airways is a new hi-bred service airline, based in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). It is a subsidiary of Qatar Airways and will reflect the best operational and technical aspects of that airline. The fleet type will be Airbus A320-216 with CFMI engines, being delivered new from Airbus commencing in December 2014 and growing to eight aircraft by December 2015. The medium term growth is to grow the fleet to thirty aircraft by the end of 2017.
  • The initial route network will be in domestic KSA, but quickly going to be a regional operation.
  • It will be a productive operation but the rewards will be reflecting that productivity.
  • The Saudi’s Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) originally operated to their version of the US FAA regulatory system. This is currently being modified.  It is now a hi-bred in many areas as they move towards compliance with the ICAO Annexes, but reflecting their FAA origins, which is very different to the EASA system.  Although the operation of aircraft is fundamentally the same, the GACAR’s regulatory system differs significantly from EASA. Candidates with GACAR/FAA experience will have some advantage over those who don’t.

About You:
To apply for this opportunity in our Flight Deck team, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Current or previous GACA ATP licence (will be a significant advantage) or alternatively a current FAA/EU-OPS/ ICAO ATPL, in that order.
  • Current Valid instrument rating.A course completion certificate on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
  • Have flown the aircraft type in the previous 12 months.Have a minimum of 4,000 flying hours in total on heavy jets (over 50 tonnes) Have a minimum of 1,000 P1 hours/ 500 hours on A320.
  • Previous training experience, in any category, will be an advantage.
