Oman Air is the national flag carrier of Oman. Based in Muscat, capital of Oman, it operates domestic and international passenger services, in addition to providing local air taxi and charter flights.
Founded in 1981, its main base of operations is Muscat International Airport, Muscat. It initiated operations in 1993. The Government of Oman holds an 82.4% majority stake in the airline, while other investors own the remaining shares.
