The airline operates domestic passenger services and international cargo charters, and is based in Khartoum, Sudan. Its main base is Khartoum International Airport, with a hub at Sharjah International Airport.
Air West began operations in October 1992, and was established in April 1992. It is a privately owned airline. It offers scheduled flights to destinations within Sudan and the United Arab Emirates. There are plans to expand operations throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
