
Syrian Arab Airlines is the flag carrier of Syria, operating scheduled international services to more than 40 destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North Africa, not to mention domestic services. The operational base is Damascus International Airport.
Syrian Arab Airlines was established by the Syrian government in 1961, as the successor of Syrian Airways, which was founded in 1946. The airline is entirely owned by the Syrian government. It has 5,325 employees.
