Mesopotamia Air was incorporated in 2007 registered in Baghdad with its operating base at Sulaimaniyah International Airport. It operates flights from Sulaimaniyah Airport in Iraqi Kurdistan, domestically in addition to European destinations (Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London via Vienna). Mesopotamia Air plans to commence VIP charter and air taxi operations and is currently considering an air cargo operation utilizing Sulaimaniyah International Airport as a Cargo hub.
Mesopotamia Air fleet consisted of the following aircraft
- 1 x BAe 146-200 (registration: OY-RCZ 01/06/2007 to 01/01/2008)
- 1 x McDonnell Douglas MD-83
- 1 x Boeing 737-300 (operated by Iraqi Airways from March 2009 under the registration of YI-AQO)
