Saudia Cargo Takes Delivery of Two Boeing 747 Freighters Available for Charter Work

Saudi Airlines Cargo takes delivery of 2 B747-400 freighters. Saudia Cargo’s latest delivery will be part of its 15 fleet consist of four MD11s, two B747-8Fs, seven B747-400s and two B747-200 aircraft. 

From its fleet, 12 will be used for Saudia’s scheduled services to 27 freighter destinations worldwide, while its charter business will be from three dedicated B747 freighters.

Steven Peter Scholten, vice president commercial at Saudia Cargo said: “A 15-strong fleet with 12 aircraft being utilised for scheduled services, while the 3 dedicated charter aircraft will offer our clients more capacity in the ad-hoc charter market. The combination of our scheduled and charter activities enables us to offer our clients smart, cost-effective solutions via our 3 hubs in Saudi Arabia.”

Saudi Airlines Cargo operates a fleet of 15 freighters and sells the belly-capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia global network of 225 destinations.
