Lufthansa Technik AG and Safi Airways Extend Services Agreement

18.11.2009 Lufthansa Technik AG and Safi Airways from Afghanistan have further extended their cooperation by adding an Airbus A340-300 to a comprehensive four-year-agreement covering a Total Component Support TCS® and line maintenance services up to A-Checks in Frankfurt.

Safi Airways, the only Afghan airline that is certified to meet the technical standards that are mandatory for flights into the European Union, has already awarded the line maintenance and component support of its Boeing 767-200ER to Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International based at Frankfurt airport, which will now also perform smaller checks on Safi’s recently introduced A340-300.

Additionally Lufthansa Technik’s experts will take care of all aspects of supplying Safi’s aircraft with components from writing the specifications, initial provisioning studies, home base allocation to repair and overhaul, troubleshooting, documentation and engineering services in line with the Total Component Support TCS® product.
