Air Arabia Launches Hofuf as its Tenth Saudi Arabia Destination

Al-Hofuf (also Hofuf , Hofof' or Hufuf, also known as Al-Hasa and Al-Ahsa (Arabic: الهفوف‎ al-Hufūf) is the major urban center in the Al-Ahsa Oasis in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. SHARJAH, Air Arabia, today announced that it has launched flights to Hofuf, making it the tenth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that the airline serves from its main base in Sharjah. 

The regular service to the Eastern Province in the Kingdom marks the airline’s 87th global destination.

Starting November 18, 2013, Air Arabia will offer services to Hofuf on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Sharjah International Airport at 17:20 and arriving at Hofuf International Airport at 17:50. Return flights will depart from Hofuf on the same days at 18:30 and arrive in Sharjah at 20:55. 

Adel Ali, Air Arabia’s group chief executive officer, said. “We are delighted to launch the regular service to Hofuf-Al Ahsa’a, which testifies our promise to expand our Kingdom-wide presence.

“As we are committed to offering our value-for-money services to even more destinations in the Kingdom, we will continue to evaluate opportunities in this vibrant market. That said, we are confident that the increased air connectivity between the UAE and Saudi Arabia will further contribute to the ever strengthening social and economic ties between both nations.”

Air Arabia currently operates over 80 non-stop weekly flights from its Sharjah hub to Riyadh, Jeddah, Madina, Dammam, Qassim, Yanbu, Taif, Hail and Abha in Saudi Arabia. The Sharjah  based low-cost carrier also flies over 10 times weekly to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah from its Alexandria hub in Egypt.
