Tyrolean Airways and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA), have signed a multi-year Spare Engine Pool Agreement to support Tyrolean's fleet of 1fourteen Bombardier Dash8-Q400 aircraft. As per the terms of the agreement, LTAA will provide PW150A spare engines for planned and unplanned engine removals. LTAA's pooling concept also includes the management of Tyrolean's spare engines.

LTAA a member of Lufthansa Technik group, is a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, providing leasing and support of engine for regional aircraft.

Johan Schot Tyrolean Airways' vice president maintenance said, "This contract gives us the guarantee for a reliable spare support at any time and allows us to generate additional revenue by the optimized utilization of our assets."

Martin Hach, Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey' s chief operating officer added, "We welcome Tyrolean Airways as a new member of our growing Spare Engine Pool community. Furthermore, it is a good example of LTAA's wide range of customized solutions for the regional airlines.
