Paris, Emirates Airline has unveiled plans for the construction of the most technologically-advanced Engine Overhaul Shop in Asia. The state-of-the-art Engine Shop will complement the present Test Cell Facility in Dubai and will be constructed on a 90,000 square meter piece of land at an estimated cost of US $120 million. Emirates and Lufthansa Technik sign landing gear maintenance contract for Airbus A340-300

Emirates Airline has contracted Lufthansa Technik AG to overhaul the center landing gears of its Airbus A340-300 fleet. The agreement has been signed for two years and includes services for eight aircraft.  Lufthansa Technik's landing gear business unit in Hamburg, Germany will be responsible for all necessary maintenance, repair and overhaul works on the A340-300 center landing gears. Sagem to provide avionics maintenance services on Emirates’ Airbus A330 and A340 jets

Paris,  Sagem (Safran group) has signed an exclusive five-year contract with Emirates, covering maintenance services for all Sagem equipment on the airline’s fleet of 37 Airbus A330 and A340 long-haul jetliners. The contract covers all flight control systems (rudder actuators, backup energy systems) and equipment in the aircraft information system (database loading, flight data acquisition unit, flight recorder).
