Etihad Airways, announced it will increase the frequency of the flight services from 28 March, 2013 to Casablanca, Morocco to daily. Etihad currently operates five weekly flight between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca, while June, 2012 marks the seventh anniversary of operations to Morocco's largest city.
According to the airline, the daily service respon to the growth in traffic between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca and will improve the connectivity in Abu Dhabi by 50 per cent, while Royal Air Maroc is code share partner with Etihad Airways.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ president and chief executive officer, said: “The Moroccan capital has been a successful destination for us and retains strong volumes of business and leisure passengers throughout the year. We believe there are good prospects for further growth in the region.
“Abu Dhabi’s geographical location makes it ideal as a gateway for air travellers from Morocco to connect to markets in Australia, the Far East and throughout the Arabian Gulf easily and quickly.”
Etihad Airways operates a three cabin Airbus A330-300 aircraft between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca, configured to carry 8 passengers in first, 32 passengers in business and 191 passengers in economy class
