DUBAI, U.A.E, This year’s horse racing contest on the Emirates Melbourne Cup was held at Flemington Racecourse, Australia. Green Moon ridden by Brett Prebble and trained by Robert Hickmott won the AUS$6.2 million Group One Emirates Melbourne Cup over 3,200 meters.

Special guests at Flemington included the Prince of Wales, the duchess of Cornwall and Gary Chapman, Emirates’ president group services. Celebrity guests who attended this event included actress Mischa Barton, Revenge star Ashley Madekwe, Jordan Belfort, Corey Miller from the TV show LA Ink, Marco Pierre White, Molly Meldrum and Matt Preston inside a decadent Irish-themed marquee to celebrate the launch of Emirates’ flights to Dublin earlier this year.
