Oman Air to Launch a New Daily Flight Service to Tehran, Iran Using an Embraer 175 Regional Jet

Oman Air have announced it will launch starting 1st September 2012 a new daily service between Muscat and Tehran, the capital of Islamic Republic of Iran. Flights will depart Muscat for Tehran at 0200 (3 frequencies weekly) and 0930 (4 frequencies weekly) and return from Tehran at 0610 (3 frequencies weekly) and 1240 (4 frequencies weekly), offering onward connections with destinations within Oman Air’s network.

Etihad Airways Announce Plans to Operate Daily Direct Flights Abu Dhabi – Sao Paulo, Brazil Using an Airbus A340-600 Aircraft

Etihad Airways today announced plans to operate to Brazil, the airline’s first South American destination. The daily Sao Paulo flights are scheduled to commence on 1st of June, 2013. The service will utilize an Airbus A340-600 aircraft in three class seating configuration (12 first, 32 business and 248 economy), totaling 2,044 seats per week.

Abu Dhabi International Airport Mark a 22 Per Cent Increase for the Month of April in Passenger Traffic

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) today released the traffic report for Abu Dhabi International Airport during April 2012, marking a 22% growth in passenger traffic over the same period in 2011, with over 1.2 million travellers passing through the U.A.E. capital’s airport. Cargo traffic showing growth, with 45,261 tonnes, an increase of 19% compared to the month of April 2011.
