Tripoli, ATR and Libya’s flag carrier Libyan Airlines today signed a contract for the purchase of 2 ATR 42-500s, which will become the first ATR aircraft to be operated in the country. The deal, valued at some US $ 35 million, has been inked on the occasionof the LAVEX Air show, which is currently underway in Tripoli.

Afriqiyah Airways has taken delivery of their first Airbus A330-200 aircraft, becoming a new operator of this aircraft type. The new A330 will seat 230 passengers in a two-class cabin and will serve long-haul operations on routes from Tripoli to Africa and Europe.
