Yemenia, the official carrier of the state of Yemen, based in Sanaa, has signed a firm contract to buy 10 A320 Family aircraft from Airbus. The agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Dubai air show.

Dubai, Rockwell Collins has been selected by flydubai, Dubai's first low cost airline, to provide avionics and a data link communication system for its fleet of 54 next-generation Boeing 737 aircraft. The announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow 2009.

Dubai, In a ceremony at the Dubai Airshow today, CFM International recognized flydubai as one of the recipients of the 20,000th CFM56 engine. The aircraft with the 20,000th engine was delivered to the airline in October of this year.In 2008, flydubai placed an order for 50 CFM56-7B-powered Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft and will have six aircraft by year-end.</p>

Dubai, On the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow, the Government of Senegal and Emirates Group today announced a joint agreement paving the way for Emirates to support Senegal Airlines. The Government of Senegal recently announced it has launched a new
carrier – Senegal Airlines – scheduled to begin operations in 2010.</p>
