Jeppesen and Flynas of Saudi Arabia Agree to a Five-Year Multiple Service Contract

Jeppesen JetPlan flight planning engine, delivers flight plans to increase operational efficiency
ENGLEWOOD, COLO. - Jeppesen, part of Boeing Digital Aviation, and flynas, a low-cost carrier in Saudi Arabia, reached a five-year service agreement covering electronic flight bag (EFB), digital navigation data and flight planning services.

Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro EFB services will be integrated by flynas on Apple's iPad, to help replace the paper-based flight information for the airline's operations and provide data-driven, real time flight data onscreen displayed with preferences by flynas pilots.  

Flynas will access the Jeppese's flight planning engine to deliver flight plans and provide operations management planning services and advanced support options and tools.

Mansoor Alharbi executive director, flynas Flight Operations, said: “Digital solutions from Jeppesen will provide the structure needed for integrating essential flight data in a format that is easily accessible and interactive in real time on iPad.

“In addition to FliteDeck Pro services and navigation data, Jeppesen flight planning tools will simplify complex process and further optimize our operations.”

Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management, added: “The integrated EFB, tailored navigation data and flight planning solutions provided to flynas through the new service agreement offers multiple benefits from an operational perspective.

“Optimization of these essential flight elements will allow flynas to reduce pilot and staff workload and achieve fleet-wide improvements in operational efficiency and bottom line results through reduced fuel consumption and enhanced routing.”                

Flynas operates more than 950 commercial flights per week to domestic and international destinations.
