Emirates Airline’s Career Fair to Encourage Emarati Candidates to Consider Aviation as a Career

Emirates Airlines concluded today a career promotion and counseling program targeting 12th grade male and female Emarati students for all public and private schools in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Launched on Feb. 13, in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Education.

This comes after a similar program launched last year focusing on the training and qualifying Emirati pilots which the latter had a total attendance of eight thousand candidates.
 
Said Nasser bin Kharbash, Senior Vice President - Emirates Airline, Human Resources and Development said " Emirates Group is keen to provide opportunities in various areas of the aviation and the travel industry for Emarati citizens of different educational levels. We have programs for high school graduates and graduates of Diploma and Higher Diploma and Bachelor. This comes within the framework of our commitment to achieve the vision of the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the application of guidance to give the Emarati citizens the opportunity to work and to develop their career and profession "

Knez Abdooli Mohammed, Director of Student Counseling at the Ministry of Education, said: "The Ministry’s interest in the implementation of the Emirates career counseling  program reflects the ministry's commitment to provide all opportunities for Emarati citizens, inform them of the professional careers of the promising future prospects; labor market needs and requirements of the country's development and commensurate with their interests and aptitudes and qualifications."

The programs offered by the Emirates Group for Emarati candidates:
  • The national program for school graduates covers call center, airport services, air freight, DNATA information technology, sales, security and facilities management
  • Pilots and air crew training program.
  • Aircraft maintenance engineering program.
  • Management training program for university and higher diploma graduates: covers human resources, communications, performance, the travel industry, commercial operations, airport services, information technology, finance, DNATA travel services, customer service, revenue management and air operations.
