BEIRUT, LEBANON, Emirates is recruiting new cabin crew in Beirut as it continues to expand its network. Emirates’ recruitment team and cabin crew members will be present at In Shape 2012, which will take place at Biel-Beirut from 19-22nd October.
Emirates currently employs nearly 1000 Lebanese staff in various roles. including engineering, IT, dnata Travel, Emirates Holidays, Arabian adventures and cabin crew.
“Each week, Emirates receives thousands of applications from people across the world looking to join our expanding, dynamic organization,” said Alison Ward, Emirates’ vice president, human resources – recruitment. “Participating in recruitment fairs, such as In Shape, allows us to create greater awareness of the diverse and rewarding careers on offer to those seeking an international experience in a large multicultural organization,” Ward added.
Emirates employs more than 15,000 cabin crew, representing 130 nationalities. Globally, the airline plans to recruit 4,000 cabin crew this fiscal year. The airline has served Lebanon since 1991 and operates 17 flights per week from Beirut to Dubai and onwards. Emirates currently has a fleet of 186 aircraft, flying to more than 120 destinations across six continents.
In 2012, Emirates has launched a number of exciting new destinations; Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Dallas Fort Worth, Seattle, Lusaka, Harare, Ho Chi Minh City, Barcelona, Lisbon and Washington DC. Adelaide, Lyon, Phuket, Warsaw and Algiers will follow in the coming months.
Emirates' fleet currently has more than 100 Boeing 777s in the fleet with over 200 aircraft, worth over US$ 62 billion, on the order books.
