Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, Fokker Services announced Aero, a regional airline based out of Lagos, Nigeria, entered into a five year comprehensive component support for its Bombardier Dash 8 300 aircraft.
With this program, Aero will receive the services provided under the ABACUS FLY program for Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. ABACUS FLY is part of the "strategic alliance" between Fokker Services and Bombardier with the declared objective to further expand and improve the support of the Bombardier Dash 8 Q-Series 100/200/300 aircraft.
Under the ABACUS agreement, Fokker Services will provide a component support program including lease, forward exchange, re-conditioning and reliability monitoring services, covering all major line replaceable units. According to Fokker Services "the program has been designed to accommodate the envisioned expansion of Aero’s fleet of Dash 8 aircraft."
Rolf Kaeselau, General Manager Maintenance, Aero said: “We are excited that Fokker Services will be supporting the operation of our Dash 8 turboprops.
