Bangkok – Dubai, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) have selected the Emirates Group IT services subsidiary mercator's cargo system "SkyChain", the deal includes the cargo revenue accounting solution "RAPID Cargo" and unit load device (ULD) management solution, "NOMAD".
The agreement was signed by Niruj Maneepun. THAI's executive vice president of human resources and compliance and Patrick Naef , Emirates Group's divisional senior vice president IT and mercator's head.
THAI flies to 75 destinations worldwide, including 9 cargo destinations across 5 continents and handles over 400,000 tonnes of air cargo annually. SkyChain, to be implemented in April 2013. Emirates Group's IT subsidiary customer base include Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines, Swiss and United Airlines.
