DUBAI – Emirates is providing more than 70 extra flights to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to transport pilgrims during the moslem Hajj period.
An additional 27 flights are operating between Dubai and Jeddah from now until the 22nd October. A further 33 flights will operate Jeddah-Dubai between 29th October and 11th November, plus seven flights will go into Al Medinah al Munawarah from 13-19th October and an extra five flights will depart Medinah between 4-8th November.
Separate check-in counters have been set up within Emirates’ Terminal 3.
Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ senior vice president, commercial operations, Gulf, Middle East & Iran, said: “Emirates aims to provide all its customers with the very best service and convenience, particularly so at this significant time of year, when many Muslims want to make this important journey.”
Apart from Jeddah, Emirates operate to mAmsterdam, Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London Heathrow, Melbourne, Manchester, Munich, New York JFK, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Toronto and Tokyo. Singapore and Moscow will be served by an Airbus A380 aircraft starting 1st December 2013.
