Paris, Amstelveen, during the fourth week of March, Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) was awarded FRA21 approval following an audit by the French DSAE State Air Safety Department, the French Air Force, and the DGA General Directorate for Armament (France).

AFI KLM E&M is approved to conduct design work on the French Air Force's AWACS and certificate it. Although AFI KLM E&M has experience in overhaul, repair and modification work on the French Air Force's AWACS and C135s.

The new approval further extends the MRO's military product offerings. AFI KLM E&M obtained in April 2011 is FRA145 approval covering overhauls of military aircraft.
