This weekend around 200 aircraft and 250 pilots from over 20 nations gathered at Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser in Zeltweg, Austria.
At the Airpower 2013 Show, two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from the Austrian armed forces made an interception and forced landing of a C-130 Hercules, part of an air traffic control exercise.
The exercise demonstrated the policing role that Eurofighter Typhoon has been undertaking with six nations and across 20 operational units covering the northern and southern hemisphere.
At the show one Austrian Eurofighter Typhoon made a solo display, showing 1st and 2nd training squadrons of the surveillance wing and two Eurofighters in a dogfight
In addition to the 15 Austrian Eurofighters at the Zeltweg Air Base, two Eurofighters from the United Kingdom, two from Spain, and one from Italy were also present.
