Abu Dhabi, Rotana Jet has announced the addition of Dalma Island to its route network. Effective 21st June 2012, the airline will be operating three a weekly scheduled flight to Dalma Island.

Bahrain Air, has announced it will operate direct flights to Khartoum and Beirut from Dammam, Saudi Arabia - King Fahad International Airport (KFIA). The inaugural flight to Khartoum was on 13th June 2012 and the Beirut flight scheduled to commence on 20th June 2012. Bahrain Air currently operates flights to two other destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh and Jeddah with Damman considered as the airlines' second hub.

Los Angeles, Singapore Airlines has released the operating results for May 2012, marking a wide passenger carriage (measured in revenue passenger kilometres) recorded a year-on-year improvement of 7.1%, which outpaced the growth in capacity (measured in available seat kilometres) of 3.9%. As a result, passenger load factor (PLF) improved 2.2 percentage points to 75.8%.

Tokyo, Qatar Airways announced it will increase flight services to Japan from 28th. October 2012 to twice-daily with the introduction of non-stop flights to Tokyo. The airline currently serves the Doha – Tokyo route daily through Osaka, Japan. Qatar Airways launched flights to Osaka in 2005 its first destination in Japan.
