Seattle, Boeing (NYSE: BA) and EL AL have announced that the Israeli carrier has finalized an order for two additional Next-Generation 737-900ERs (Extended Range), adding to EL AL's previous order in March 2011, bringing the total number to six 737-900ERs on order.

Dubai, Emirates Airline today launched the Airbus A380 daily flight services to Amsterdam. Emirates is the first carrier to operate a scheduled A380 service to the Netherlands. Flight EK 147 departs Dubai at 08:25hrs and arrives in Amsterdam Schiphol at 13:30hrs, while the return EK148, departs Amsterdam at 15:30hrs and arrives Dubai at 23:59hrs.

Dubai, traffic figures released by Dubai Airports, the operator of Dubai's second airport Dubai World Central (DWC) stated that cargo volumes increased 153 per cent to 56,271 tonnes during the second quarter (Q2) of 2012 compared to 22,252 tonnes during the corresponding period last year.
