EVENDALE, OH - Cathay Pacific Airways ordered from GE Aviation, an operating unit of GE (NYSE: GE) the GE90-115B engine to power three Boeing 777-300ERs and the GEnx-2B engine to power a Boeing 747-8 Freighter. Cathay Pacific also signed a 15-year agreement to cover the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines.

DUBAI - Emirates announced it will operate a scheduled Airbus A380 service to London Gatwick airport London, starting from 30 March 2014. The airline’s 489-seat Airbus A380 will replace the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on EK flight 09/10, marking a 36 percent increase in capacity on one of the three daily flights.

The report revealed that Abu Dhabi International Airport had a 9.8 percent increase in passenger traffic for the month of November 2013, compared to the same period in 2012, reaching 1,330,378 passengers.
