Job Description :The Information Management Department of Cathay Pacific is now building world class Portfolio Management team to service multiple business lines. The right candidate will have excellent opportunity to work as Business Analyst at forefront of strategic and IT projects in various areas. Key responsibility of this position will be to gather and document business requirements.
Purpose:Provide analysis in business portfolio, operations, processes and applications; support and oversee requirements definition of major and minor projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with key resources to conceptualise and propose solution approaches
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute business plans
- Elicit requirements using interview
- Document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, and scenarios
- Task and workflow analysis for major and minor projects
- Generate business process descriptions which document business needs, rules and details
- Identify and document constraints, assumptions and risks associated with business requirements
- Document gaps in projects whilst providing potential solutions
- Prepare business case
- Collaborate with project teams as required
- Maintain timely communications to business stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure common understanding of requirements and impact to business area
- Keep abreast of latest trends in technology, industry and corresponding business domain’s strategy, business plans
Job Requirements :
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or related area
- Possess minimum 6 years of related IT experience
- Strong background in business or system analysis; excellent grasp of project analysis strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills; excellent relationship management
- Effective verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Airline knowledge is beneficial
