Job Description :- This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
- We are seeking a high calibre individual to join our Treasury Team. The individual will be offered the opportunity to undertake other Group Finance positions in due course.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate various financing alternatives by conducting thorough legal, tax, accounting, costs and benefit analysis
- Assist in term sheets and mandates negotiations for financing arrangement
- Work with internal and external legal and tax counsels to execute financing transactions, which includes evaluating economics, checking relevant numbers, agreeing to terms and conditions of transactions and managing the draw down process
- Ensure financing transactions documentation are properly filed, recorded and in compliance to legal requirements, accounting practices and Cathay Pacific’s policies
- Work with other departments in providing assistance with financial analysis, review business proposals, project plans, and board papers
- Monitor the cash flow forecast and daily liquidity in different currencies for Head Office and overseas offices
- Monitor/propose hedging strategies and transactions for the Company’s foreign currencies exposure, interest rate exposure and jet fuel prices exposure
- Review the mark-to-market valuation on hedging transactions
- Monitor treasury policy compliance, propose changes to and update such policies
Job Requirements :- Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or Accounting
- Chartered accountant or equivalent, preferably with audit experience from internationally recognized audit firms
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Experience in reviewing legal documents essential
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English and Chinese, spoken Mandarin essential
- Able to work independently as well as an effective team player
