Job Description :Cathay Pacific is now looking for seasoned project management professionals to contribute strategically and operationally to the achievement of Information Management’s business objectives by delivering programme management services across Cathay Pacific technology programmes of work.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the IT aspects of a Security and Disaster Recovery programme of work including vision development, stakeholder management, supplier/vendor management as well as programme planning and reporting
- Determine the time frame, funding and programme team structure for programme delivery, and support programme owner in business case preparation
- Collaborate with the Resource Management Team to ensure programme team resources are allocated in a timely manner
- Develop integrated programme plan, proactively manage project interdependencies and issues escalated from project teams
- Manage the programme budget both CAPEX and OPEX and report any variance to the Group Programme Manager, IM Head, Solutions Delivery, steering committees and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office in a timely manner
- Assess the evolving direction of the programme and its projects, review planned activities and major deliverables to ensure that an optimal solution is delivered to meet the business objectives and goals
- Act as the line manager for project managers (of projects under the programme of work) and provide appropriate guidance, feedback and support to ensure that individual projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
- Ensure that appropriate project controls are in place and project managers are compliant to the Cathay Pacific Project Management Methodology and practice
- Foster a continuous learning and cross-team knowledge sharing culture among programme and project teams
Job Requirements :
- Minimum 12 years of IT experience with at least 7 years in project/programme management role
- Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Proven experience in managing large scale projects with ability to multitask and manage multiple medium to large projects in a cross-functional environment
- Detailed knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, change management, application development management, infrastructure development management, vendor management
- Skill in conceptualising creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship management experience and skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
- Ability to coach, motivate and develop others
