The Position:- The Corporate Quality Department defines and delivers Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance across operational departments in Cathay Pacific.
- We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, committed, professional manager who is a proactive team player who seeks a challenging and rewarding position in Quality.
- Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Quality, the incumbent will work closely with the Quality team, other internal departments, CX ports and third party suppliers, to ensure the successful delivery, monitoring and measurement of CX quality programmes.
Key Responsibilities:- To plan, schedule, communicate and control the delivery of the consolidated port audit programme across all participating operational departments in an effective and efficient manner ensuring the use of appropriately qualified individuals and teams
- To formally define and maintain, the consolidated port audit programme checklist as a comprehensive audit standard that reflects all legal and business operating requirements
- To undertake auditing activities as a Lead Auditor in the Consolidated Port Audit programme and act as a mentor and guide to less experienced auditors under training
- To provide appropriate auditor training and qualification ensuring sufficient auditor resources are available to meet audit needs
- To design and deliver recurrent training workshops for qualified audit staff across all related departments as a means of maintaining auditor currency.
- To maintain an accurate and up to date record of all auditor qualifications and currency
- To participate in the formal monitoring and evaluation of functional delivery of quality outputs to ensure their effective and efficient implementation including the establishment of findings and related remedial action plans as directed by HCQ
- To provide research, analysis and feedback reports to HCQ of key measurement and improvement targets for the purpose of tracking quality system performance and management reporting
- To participate in the process of management review for the purpose of reporting feedback to HCQ from the consolidated audit programme
- To support and participate in the bi-annual IOSA audit effort to ensure ongoing listing on the IATA registry
- To manage the administration of the Aviation Quality Database as a super-user where it is utilised in support of quality assurance activity ensuring its effective deployment across all operational functions
- To represent CQD at AQD user group meetings ensuring that department quality assurance objectives are maintained
- Liaisons with HKCAD and other interested parties in respect of quality assurance activity as directed by HCQ
- Liaisons with IATA and other industry bodies specifically in respect of ISAGO and similar policy initiatives related to the quality system and its industry interface as directed by HCQ
- To participate in Safety Audits of the Safety Management System to ensure that the structure is sound and that it meets the intent of HKCAD CAD712 Safety Management Systems for Air Operators and Maintenance Organizations’
Job Requirements :- University degree
- Minimum 10 years operational experience in airline industry with 5 years in managerial role
- Quality auditor qualification and safety management system qualification with 5 years lead auditor experience; completed IOSA training desirable
- Familiar with Aviation Quality Database
- Strong leadership with good people management, change management and project management skills
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills. Data- and process-literate
- Able to effectively maintain and influence stakeholders’ relationship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluent command of spoken English
- Excellent written English
- Good administration skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc
- Willing to travel frequently for business purposes
