The Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre (AMMROC) is the result of 2009 Heads Of Agreement with Sikorsky Aerospace to establish an aviation Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) military sustainable center in Abu Dhabi.
AMMROC is aiming to become a center of excellence for military MRO by providing a broad range of aviation capabilities from first line, second line and depot level MRO services to meet the growing demands of the UAE Armed Forces and regional military forces.
By working with local military logistic providers in the United Arab Emirates, AMMROC will provide full system support as the UAE military continues to focus capabilities on core operations. |

Horizon International Flight Academy is licensed by General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates, was incorporated in 2003 providing helicopter, fixed wing pilot training, university validated degrees and to train students to a European Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) standard curriculum. Set in Al Ain International Airport and purpose built for flight training, Horizon also has a satellite branch in Um Al Quwain. It is also the academy of choice for Etihad Airways’ cadet program. |
Headquartered in Switzerland with offices in Zurich and Abu Dhabi, Mubadala Aerospace launched Sanad Aero Solutions in early 2010 as an industry focused financial services company to provide leasing and management of spare components and engines to the global airline industry. The company provide airlines with solutiuons to monetize existing assets, secure scalable inventory solutions and access the full spectrum of world class Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) and technical services offered by Mubadala’s global MRO network, which includes Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) and SR Technics. |
STRATA is a composite aerostructures manufacturing facility,
wholly-owned by Mubadala, which has formed partnerships with a number of
leading aerospace companies to establish manufacturing programs at a
new plant in Al Ain (about two hours from Abu Dhabi).
Initial contracts, worth more than AED 4.8 billion (US$ 1.3 billion)
have been signed with partners, including STRATA’s first direct work
package from Airbus. Manufacturing is expected to start by Q4 2010.
