Felix Airways initiated its operations on 26 October 2008 with one CRJ700 aircraft and a paid up capital of US$ 80 million. Currently has a fleet of 4 aircraft (for details see below) and plans in near future to double its fleet, to serve all domestic and addtional international destinations. 

Domestically Felix Airways serves 8 locations: Aden, Riyan, Taiz, Hodiedah, Sayoun, Alghaydah, Attaq and Socotra. Regional destinations, Felix Airways serves Dammam, Medinah, Djibouti, Sharjah, Abh and Jeddah  with plans for  Al Taif, Jazan, Alexandria, Beirut, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Al Khurtum, Hargetsa, Mombasa, Zinzibar and Dar Es Salam.

Felix Airways was incorporated with the objective to take over Yemenia’s domestic network, which was not profitable in the  past. Yemenia has transferred its domestic traffic rights to Felix Airways, and converted to a 25 percent equity stake, which might create certain issues if Felix Airways expands internationally in the future. Yemen Airways, released some of its senior staff to operate and manage the Felix Airways.
