Air West commenced operations in October 1992, and was incorporated in April 1992.   The airline operates domestic passenger services and international cargo charters, and is based in Khartoum, Sudan. Its main base is Khartoum International Airport (KRT), with a hub at Sharjah International Airport (SHJ). Air West offered scheduled flights to destinations within Sudan and to the United Arab Emirates. There are plans to expand operations throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
