Air CairoAir Cairo is a  charter operator initially incorporated by  the Kato Group (Dr Ibrahim Kamel), in partnership with a group of Egyptian travel agents; commenced operations in 1997 serving tour operators across North Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the CIS, as well as Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) contracts.

Main base is Cairo International (CAI). In 2002 EgyptAir ceased the operations of a charter subsidiary, Shorouk Air, which was owned jointly with Kuwaiti shareholders.

In 2003 EgyptAir acquired majority shares of Air Cairo hence it was re-positioned as EgyptAir's  "charter partner", offering domestic and international charter services and operates inclusive tour flights to Egypt from Europe, Africa and Asia.

Air Cairo's fleet of  A320s are maintained by EgyptAir engineering and maintenance facilities, staff members are approx: 200.

Ownership: EgyptAir (60%), Bank Misr (20%), National Bank of Egypt (20%)
