Air One Nine is a charter airline that is based in Tripoli, Libya established in 2004 as a subsidiary of a Cypriot registered offshore holding group “One Nine”owned by Saif El Islam Gaddafi. The airline's main base is Tripoli International Airport in Libya. It offers domestic services inside Libya between the cities of Ben Ghashir, Sabha, and Tobruk.
Lately media reports a dispute is being heard before the International Chamber of Commerce (CIC) in Paris between International Aviation Holdings Ltd (IAHL) lessors of the F28 aircraft, incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and Air One Nine (AON)
The disputes covers an agreement with IAHL in 2001 to lease a Fokker 28 aircraft for 36 months to transport staff to oil fields on behalf of Agip and Zueitina Oil Co, the latter a subsidiary of the National Oil Corporation (NOC). Implementing the contract fell into problems during 2003 when the aircraft was due to fly to Montenegro for maintenance but AON blocked to the trip.
According IAHL CEO's Roy Chapman, the parties involved in securing of the joint-venture were Air One Nine, Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation (GICDF), and National Engineering Services and Supply Ltd. (NESSCO) (understood be owned by Saif El Islam Gaddafi and some of his close associates), and through which the IAHL/AON contract was formalized.
In their claim IAHL seek payments in damages and interest from the GICDF, NESSCO and One Nine s. IAHL is seeking more than US$ 20 million in damages and interest, as well as an additional US $ 270,000 for each month the Fokker remains grounded.
The Air One Nine fleet includes the following aircraft:

- 3 x McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (operated by Global Aviation Operations)
