Badr Airlines incorporated 1997 in Sudan. The airline's principal activity is cargo transportation also provides charter VIP flights. Based in Khartoum, Sudan with a main hub in Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), Badr Airlines operates both cargo and passenger air services for humanitarian aid provided by international organizations such as UNICEF, WFP, UNOPS, ESS, MSF, FAO, and IRC.

Badr Airlines was temporarily grounded in October 2004 by Sudan's Civil Aviation Authority due to of safety concerns but allowed to resume operations the following month.
