Messier-Dowty appoints Jamil Dirani Vice-President, Commercial

Messier-Dowty (Safran Group) has appointed Jamil Dirani as Vice-President, Commercial. This new position has been created within Messier-Dowty to support development activities and provide enhanced commercial support for customers. A graduate of ESTACA and ESTAE engineering schools, Jamil Dirani (50)
began his career at Dassault in 1985 where he held various customer
support positions.
A graduate of ESTACA and ESTAE engineering schools, Jamil Dirani (50) began his career at Dassault in 1985 where he held various customer support positions.
He then joined the Safran group in 1989 to create Hispano Suiza’s thrust reverser after-sales department, and was later appointed Program Director for the A340 thrust reverser.
In 1996, he was promoted VP of Marketing and Business Development for both thrust reversers and nacelles. He then moved to Snecma Control Systems in 2001 as VP Programs, Commerce and Services. In 2003, he was appointed VP of Commerce, Customer Support and Services, as part of the newly created Hispano-Suiza entity.
