Doric Asset Finance Delivers Two Airbus A319s to Tunisian Startup Airline - Syphax Airlines

London/Offenbach am Main/Westport – Doric Asset Finance delivered two Airbus A319s to the Tunisian airline Syphax Airlines on 14th and 15th March 2012, respectively. Doric was also mandated with the asset management of the two aircraft.

The lease agreements for both Airbus A319s were signed in mid-January whereby Doric acted as a re-marketing agent for two German funds from the Hamburg-based investment house Woelbern Invest. Both aircraft underwent maintenance checks and repainting in advance of the delivery as part of the re-marketing activities arranged by Doric.

Doric Asset Finance’s current portfolio of assets under management is valued at USD 5.5 billion and comprises 29 aircraft, including eight A320-Family aircraft, three A330/A340-Family jets, six Boeing 777s and twelve Airbus A380s.

Two months ahead of the date originally announced in May 2012, following the introduction of  two aircraft, the implementation of an information and booking system with American company Radixx, the setting up of technical, commercial and operational structures and recruitment of the majority of its crews and commercials personnel
Syphax Airlines is a limited company whose capital is 10 million dinars. The company announced the creation of 150 jobs, 80% of which are university graduates.

It will focus mainly on international flights with eight daily flights from Sfax Thyna International Airport bound for several cities in France, Italy, Belgium, Libya, Turkey.

Mahmoud Frikha founded the airline company through his firm “Telnet,” which specializes in engineering and electronic design.
