Emirates Airlines Introduce Panasonic's Wide Screen HD In-Flight Entertainment System On-Board its Boeing 777 Aircraft

Dubai, Emirates Airlines has announced the upgraded of the inflight entertainment system "ICE" (information, communication and entertainment) on-board its Boeing 777 aircraft. All fitted with Panasonic's (Panasonic Avionics Corporation) high definition (HD) personal TV screens: 27-inch for the first class, 20-inch for the business class and 12.1 inch for the economy class.

The newly introduced hardware integrates with the airline's graphical user interface (GUI) system providing a selection of over 1300 channels of entertainment, including over 300 movies from around the world, TV stations, send SMS and email messages, moving map application,  in-flight landscape cameras and live text news.

The ICE and GUI systems both developed by Panasonic will be introduced on all new Boeing 777 aircraft joining the Emirates fleet and subsequently over the next year on Emirates’ A380 aircraft covering all the three classes of service (economy, business and first).
