Emirates Increase Capacity on Moscow Service with a Second Daily Flight Introducing a Boeing 777-300ER

Dubai, Emirates Airlines launched its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its Dubai - Moscow route. With 360 seats in each direction, an increase of 40 percent. Upgrade in capacity follows Emirates’ recent deployment of a daily Airbus A380 to Moscow. In the last three months Emirates has increased overall capacity to Moscow by 46 percent.
Emirates upgraded flight to Moscow will offer Emirates’ passengers eight first class suites, 42 lie-flat seats in business class and 310 seats in economy class. The introduction of Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER on this route maintains a consistent product across the two daily flights to Moscow with lie-flat business class seats now available on both flights.
“Moscow is a key market for Emirates and we are always looking for ways to enhance our services on this route. This aircraft upgrade will open up more seats to our customers travelling to and from Russia, further aiding tourism and trade. The fact that Moscow has witnessed two significant capacity increases in a matter of months is testament to the customer demand for our services,” said Richard Jewsbury, Emirates’ senior vice president Europe and Russian Federation.
The UAE and Russia have strong economic ties, with bilateral trade between the two countries growing by 40 percent in the first half of 2012 to over US$1 billion. There are over 40 major Russian companies and more than 350 joint ventures in the UAEand this upgraded service is expected to further extend this.Article continues below
The Boeing 777-300ER has a capacity of 23 tonnes, which means businesses will benefit from an additional 56 tonnes of weekly capacity on the route.
Emirates has been operating in Russia since 2003 and now flies to both Moscow and St. Petersburg offering a total of 21 flights per week.
Emirates flight EK133 departs Dubai at 09:35hrs and arrives in Domodedovo Airport at 15:00hrs the same day. The return flight, EK134, departs Moscow at 17:45hrs and arrives in Dubai at 23:10hrs the same day.
