The Position:This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
We are looking for a high caliber candidate to join the Corporate Safety and Quality (CSQ) department in Dragonair as Airline Safety Officer - Safety Management System to facilitate the collection, analysis and publication of safety data in accordance with Dragonair’s SMS requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the daily data collection and analysis of all safety and quality reports using the company database system (AQD) and the on-line web interface
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of the various weekly reports and monthly safety bulletins
- Prepare and co-ordinate customized statistical reports for Dragonair’s safety review committees
- Co-ordinate the use of safety data with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain proficiency in operating Dragonair’s safety database AQD and other information technology applications (such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Conduct AQD training for Dragonair personnel
- Undertake ad-hoc safety analysis projects as directed by Manager Airline Safety
- Assist in the preparation and production of the Dragonair safety magazine DragonFly
- Maintain the CSQ Safety Library
- Assist the Head of CSQ with budget and other administrative functions within the department
Job Requirements :- Post-secondary education, professional qualifications in technical administration using I.T data management tools would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years technical data administrative/relevant experience in a similar role
- Able to work both independently and in a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are important
- High degree of care and attention to detail combined with good analytical ability
- Good command of written and spoken English is essential
- Strong planning and organizing capabilities
- Ability to take the initiative and to be proactive
- Chinese language ability is an advantage but not a must
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
