Safi Airways is an Afghan airline  based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Incorporated in September 2006, Safi Airways operates international passenger flights connecting Afghanistan with cities in Europe and the Middle East. while presently has weekly flights between Kabul and Dubai.
Safi Airways Boeing 767-200ER is utilized on a ad-hoc basis as the Presidential Flight for President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan.
Executives: Rahim Safi (Chairman of the Board),  Tilmann Gabriel (Chief Executive Officer) and Tom De Geytere (Chief Development Officer).
In November 2010 the European Commission (EU) placed a ban for flight operations of all Afghan registered aircraft into the EU airspace,resulting  Safi Airways  suspended (till further notice) flights to Frankfurt, effective 10th January 2011.  Safi Airways issued a statement:  ".............This blanket ban on all Afghan registered aircraft was due to the deficiencies in Afghanistan’s civil aviation regulatory body, the Ministry of Transport Civil Aviation (MoTCA).  Not because of any safety deficiency associated with Safi Airways...."
Safi Airways fleet consist of the following:
    - 1 x Airbus A320-210 (engines CFM56) (leased from ILFC)
- 2 x Boeing 737-300 (engines CFM56)
- 1 x Boeing 767-200ER (engines JT9D)
NB: Operates under an AOC (number: AOC 181) granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of  Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and is on the 
EU current listed of Banned Operators
