Gulf Air Launches First Flight to Trivandrum International Airport - Fifth Destination in India

MANAMA - Gulf Air, today launched its first flight to Trivandrum International Airport, starting its operations of five weekly flights between Bahrain and Thiruvananthapuram in India.

Gulf Air flight GF060 departed  Bahrain International Airport at 02:45 arriving Trivandrum International Airport on 09:50. The return flight GF061 departed Trivandrum International Airport at 10:45, landing in Bahrain International Airport at 13:10. Both flights operated at full capacity.  

A. Hussain A. Rahman Hussain, Gulf Air country manager, India said: “We are delighted to be strengthening Gulf Air’s network and boosting our Indian operations. The addition of Thiruvananthapuram to our network supplements the airline’s product offering, increasing customer convenience – which is our ultimate goal. Importantly, with both our first inbound and outbound flights operating at full capacity it is clear that we are meeting passenger demand - we are starting as we mean to go on.” 

India is one of the key markets for Gulf Air and the airline shares a historical relationship with the country spanning over 40 years – with the first flight to Mumbai inaugurated in November 1971.

Gulf Air recently introduced an Airbus A321 aircraft into India with in-flight entertainment. With the  addition of Trivandrum, Gulf Air flies to five destinations in India.
