Amman, The company group Jordan Aviation (JATE) has signed deals to buy 10 new Boeing airplanes of different sizes worth $120 million to serve the expansion in its various activities. Capt. Mohammed Al Khashman, President and CEO of JATE announced that five new airplanes will be received by the company this month.

In addition, a 6th airplane will be received in November to join four Boeing airplanes of different models: 767, 300, and 737 that were received recently.

"Owning 10 new airplanes serves the goals of the company in facing the growth in air travel and tourism in the region", said Al Khashman. "The slowdown in the air travel industry in Europe and the U.S. made it easier for JATE to own a bigger number of airplanes."

Al Khashman also predicted that JATE's fleet would grow to include 30 airplanes during next year. He said that his group will apply a five year plan that includes a big campaign of employing and training a work force locally, regionally and internationally. This will serve to attract expertise and training programs according to international standards in order to improve local human resources and advance results for the training plan which will last for three years.

The company will be training more than 2000 employees that will serve the company's operations in its different departments.
