GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Three Embraer 170s to Régional Compagnie Aérienne Européenne
Shannon, Ireland, GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of three owned Embraer 170s to Régional Compagnie Aérienne Européenne, the wholly owned regional airline subsidiary of Air France, covering the carrier’s fleet expansion.
By the end of June, GECAS will redeliver six Embraer 170s to the airline, which is building an all-jet fleet. Three of these six aircraft are serviced by GECAS on behalf of other owners.

Regional is updating its fleet to expand its offering on 75-seat aircraft, and in July 2007 ordered twenty Embraer 170s and 190s, with seating capacity of 76 and 100 passengers respectively. This adds to the airline's first 6 Embraer 190's, which have been in operation in November 2006. Regional took delivery of 8 Embraer 170's in April 2010.
