Gulf Aviation Academy Achieves ISO9001 Certification from Bureau Veritas

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain based Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) announced receiving the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation from Bureau Veritas Certification.

Mahmood AlBalooshi, chief executive officer of GAA, said: “We are proud to announce that as of March 2013 GAA is officially certified to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System’s standards and guidelines”

“This is a major accomplishment for the Academy, as through this approval, we will ensure a total cover of all GAA’s activities and processes therefore fulfilling our commitment of providing aviation training excellence to the market we serve. Moreover, this approval assures a holistic continued improvement in all our activities hence, securing a constant customer oriented approach to GAA’s internal and external customers.” 

Created in 1828, Bureau Veritas is a testing, inspection and certification (TIC) organization. GAA went through an evaluation process covering all internal processes in the human resources, public relations, procurement, customer service and marketing departments. To maintain the ISO 9001:2008 certification, GAA will go through annual audits.

GAA is a UK CAA TRTO and also has Bahrain CAA / QCAA / DGCA / KDGCA / GACA training approvals and offers a wide range of high quality aviation training solutions for the aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa region. GAA’s Simulator Centre currently has seven simulator bays with the capacity of training thousands of pilots annually.The Academy is also an IATA regional training partner (RTP) and an authorised training centre (ATC).
