Oman Air Selects Hamilton Sundstrand to Provide Maintenance for the APS2300 Auxiliary Power Unit on the Embraer 175 Aircraft

Oman Air has selected Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems for a long-term agreement to be the maintenance provider for the APS2300 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) on its current fleet of five Embraer 175 series aircraft. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The APS2300 APU is currently on board more than 800 Embraer 170/190 aircraft around the world and is operated by more than 70 customers since its introduction into service in 2004.
Eileen Drake, Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems' vice president and general manager, said “Hamilton Sundstrand is excited to begin a relationship with Oman Air, an important customer in the Middle East region.
