Saudi Aramco Awards Boeing Maintenance Contract to Alsalam Aircraft Company

Riyadh, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC)  reported, Saudi Aramco recently signed a contract with Alsalam Aircraft Company (Alsalam) to maintain its fleet of Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) aircraft.

Owned by Boeing Industrial Technology Group and Saudi Arabian Airlines, Alsalam operates the only maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in Saudi Arabia certified by the General Authority for Civil Aviation, the U.S.’s Federal Aviation Administration, and the European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency. Since 1997, Alsalam has completed several projects and offered technical services for the Aramco Aviation Department, including training for Saudi Aramco personnel.

Aramco Aviation current fleet consist of the following:

  • 5 x Boeing 737-700
  • 3 x Embraer 170
  • 1 x Boeing 767-200
