Rotana Jet of Abu Dhabi to Add Two More Flights to Sir Bani Yas Island

ABU DHABI - Rotana Jet, will increase capacity on its services to Sir Bani Yas Island from 01 August 2013, with the addition of two more flights per week, the airline announced. 

The planned flights service, between Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas Island on Sundays and Wednesdays, will increase the total number of weekly flights serving Sir Bani Yas to 5. 

The additional Abu Dhabi – Sir Bani Yas flights RG 115 will depart Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Executive Airport at 0900 hrs and arrive in Sir Bani Yas Island at 0940 hrs.

The return flights, RG 116 will depart Sir Bani Yas Island on the same days at 1500 hrs and arrive in Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Executive Airport at 1540 hrs. 
 
Rajendran Vellapalath, Rotana Jet’s commercial and planning director, said: “This increase in capacity in one year’s time of our operation to Sir Bani Yas Island, where we flew over 10,000 people, demonstrates Rotana Jet’s continuing commitment to the destination.

“These additional flights will enable more people to visit the island, whether to spend a day exploring the Arabian Wildlife Park, experience many of the leisure activities in the island or for overnight stays,” he added.

The two new flights will be operated with Embraer Jet aircraft in a single class configuration, adding 250 seats each way per week on the route. 

Sultan Al Mahmoud, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) executive director of strategic performance, said: “Rotana Jet’s additional flights to Sir Bani Yas come at exiting times for TDIC, with the opening of new developments on the island, among them, the new Anantara Sir Bani Yas Al Yamm Villa Resort that was launched last week.

"This increase in flight capacity will not only provide greater accessibility for a wider audience seeking an alternative-stay experience, but is also a testament for the island’s increasing popularity.” 

Sir Bani Yas Island is know for its wildlife, has a water-sports center, Desert Islands Resort & Spa by and the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Al Yamm Villa Resort.

The Desert Islands Conference Center on the Island, has a  conference hall, can accommodate up to 540 guests.
