Tuesday, 19 June 2012
Dubai, Jet Aviation Dubai has been granted authorization to open an airside duty free shop by both the Dubai Airport Authority and the Dubai Duty Free authority.

In response to strong customer  demand for on-site duty free shopping, Jet Aviation Dubai sought and received approval to open an airside duty free shop.  The company  plans to open the shop adjacent  to its FBO facility in the second  half of 2012.

Philippe Gerard, Jet Aviation Dubai's FBO director said“Shopping is high on the agenda  for most travelers, and our customers and crew enjoy shopping for luxury goods.

“In opening an airside duty free shop, we eliminate the need  to drive to the main airport for duty free shopping and significantly improve the quality of time spent  by these  customers at our facility.”

Michael Rucker, Jet Aviation Dubai s vice president and general manager added, “We are committed to providing the maximum benefit to our clients.

“This is one of many initiatives to expand our service offerings and provide the best support possible.”

Jet Aviation Dubai’s maintenance and FBO location was established in May 2005  as a joint venture company with the Al Mulla Group. The facility has a total of 4,200  square  meters (45,192 square  feet) of hangar space, a workshop area of 1,000  square  meters (10,760 square  feet), and a two-storey FBO building with an area of 1,050  square  meters (11,300 square  feet).
