Dubai, Jet Aviation Dubai has been granted authorization to open an airside duty free shop by both the Dubai Airport Authority and the Dubai Duty Free authority.In response to strong customer demand for on-site duty free shopping, Jet Aviation Dubai sought and received approval to open an airside duty free shop. The company plans to open the shop adjacent to its FBO facility in the second half of 2012.
Philippe Gerard, Jet Aviation Dubai's FBO director said“Shopping is high on the agenda for most travelers, and our customers and crew enjoy shopping for luxury goods.
“In opening an airside duty free shop, we eliminate the need to drive to the main airport for duty free shopping and significantly improve the quality of time spent by these customers at our facility.”

“This is one of many initiatives to expand our service offerings and provide the best support possible.”
Jet Aviation Dubai’s maintenance and FBO location was established in May 2005 as a joint venture company with the Al Mulla Group. The facility has a total of 4,200 square meters (45,192 square feet) of hangar space, a workshop area of 1,000 square meters (10,760 square feet), and a two-storey FBO building with an area of 1,050 square meters (11,300 square feet).
